Mounjaro® FAQs
Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a prescription-only injectable medication approved in the UK for weight loss in adults with obesity or weight-related health conditions. It works by mimicking two natural hormones—GLP-1 and GIP—that regulate appetite and blood sugar, helping users feel fuller for longer and reduce cravings. Clinical trials show that Mounjaro can lead to an average weight loss of up to 20–23% of body weight over 12–18 months, especially when combined with a calorie-controlled diet and regular exercise. It is administered as a once-weekly injection, and access in the UK is currently through specialist weight management services or private providers.
